The inn has 9 guest rooms across two buildings — the historic Main Inn and the Carriage House — all with private bathrooms. How many rooms does the inn have?

The inn has 9 guest rooms — 6 in the historic Main Inn building and 5 in the Carriage House. Every room has a private bathroom.

What is the maximum occupancy per room?

Most rooms sleep 2 adults (21+). Harrington Suite sleeps up to 3 (king + queen, two rooms). Barstow Suite sleeps up to 4 (two kings, two rooms) — the only option for two couples.

Which room is best for a couple?

All rooms are well-suited for two adults. For extra space and a suite feel, the Harrington Suite (Main Inn) and Webb Suite (Carriage House) are popular with couples. For a first-floor Main Inn option, the Shelburne Room has a king bed and easy access. Contact the innkeepers for a personalized recommendation.

Is there a first-floor room for guests who prefer not to use stairs?

Yes. The Shelburne Room in the Main Inn is on the first floor. In the Carriage House, the Barstow Suite and Bostwick Room are also on the first floor.

Which rooms have a bathtub?

The Harrington Room (Main Inn) has a private bathroom with a bathtub and shower. The Deyett Room (Main Inn) also has a private bathroom with a bathtub and shower. The Barstow Suite in the Carriage House has a private bathroom with grab bars.

What is the best room for a solo traveler?

The Deyett Room is specifically described as best suited for a solo guest due to its intimate size (108 square feet). It has a queen bed, garden and backyard views, and a private bathroom with bathtub and shower.

What is the largest room at the inn?

The Barstow Suite in the Carriage House is the largest accommodation at 368 square feet. It is a two-room suite with two king beds and accommodates up to 4 guests.

What is the difference between the Main Inn and the Carriage House?

The Main Inn is the historic main building of the inn. The Carriage House is a separate building on the property. All Carriage House rooms have WiFi. Guests in both buildings have access to all inn amenities including breakfast.

Can I request a specific room?

Are all bathrooms private?

Yes. Every room at Heart of the Village Inn has a private bathroom. There are no shared or hall bathrooms at the property.
