Is Not the Right Fit If…
- You are traveling with children — this is an adults-only property (21+)
- You are bringing a pet — the inn is not pet-friendly
- You need same-day availability — book in advance to secure your preferred room
- You expect hotel amenities such as a pool, fitness center, or room service
What We Do Not Offer
Heart of the Village Inn is a small, owner-operated B&B — not a hotel. A few things guests often ask about that are not part of a stay here:
- No daily housekeeping. Your room is prepared before arrival. Fresh towels, toiletries, and linens are stocked at check-in — the room is not entered or refreshed during your stay.
- No luggage storage. There is no secure on-site storage before check-in or after checkout. If traveling by car, your vehicle is the most practical option for keeping belongings secure until check-in at 3:00 PM.
- No in-room or to-go breakfast. Breakfast is prepared fresh each morning and offered exclusively in the Main Inn breakfast rooms (7:30–9:30 AM). In-room, in-bed, and to-go options are not available.
- No room service or food delivery. Food and beverage are not delivered to guestrooms at any hour.
- No iron or ironing board. Irons and ironing boards are not available in guestrooms or on request.
- No front desk or on-call staff. Rose and Anatoly are resident hosts — present and attentive, but not round-the-clock hotel staff.
Property & Rooms — What to Know
The Harrington Suite combines two rooms into one reservation. The main Harrington Room portion faces mostly toward the inn’s garden — one of the quieter orientations in the Main Inn, with only modest exposure to Shelburne Road (Route 7). The annex room faces both Route 7 and the garden, so guests spending time in that portion of the suite will notice more ambient street sound. Together, the suite offers a blend of garden-side calmer and the gentle presence of village street life. During the heating season (late fall through early spring), the natural sounds of hot water pipes are part of the historic building — true of all Main Inn rooms. Window AC in warmer months and double-pane windows in the colder months help moderate the environment throughout the year. Year-round, the everyday sounds of a shared historic home — water running, showers, conversations, footsteps — are part of the experience. Sounds from activity above may also be audible at times — a natural characteristic of multi-story historic buildings, and no different from what guests experience at inns and B&Bs throughout Burlington and the area.
WiFi is a complimentary perk via cellular signal — not hardwired broadband — and TV streams free channels via Amazon Fire over the same signal. Speeds may vary during peak evening hours. It is guests' responsibility to log out of any personal streaming accounts before checkout.
