Heart of the Village Inn is a quiet, adults-only (21+) bed and breakfast in Shelburne Village, just minutes from Burlington. Designed for couples and relaxed getaways, it offers a calmer, more comfortable alternative to staying in downtown Burlington, with easy access to Shelburne Farms, Shelburne Museum, and Lake Champlain.

Stay in the heart of Shelburne for a quieter, safer, more personal Vermont getaway approximately 7 miles from Burlington and Lake Champlain — park with ease, walk to shops and restaurants in the village center, return to calm evenings at our B&B, and wake up to a custom-made breakfast.
This is an adults-only property designed for quiet, uninterrupted stays. Self check-in is 3:00–8:00 PM. Check-out by 11:00 AM. No early or late arrivals — no exceptions. The Main Inn and The Carriage House are historic two-story buildings with no elevator. Carry-in / carry-out: guests remove trash and recyclables at check-out. Pet-free property. No guests under 21.
All rooms include a private bathroom, custom-made breakfast daily, free parking, and air conditioning. All guests must be 21 or older. Only King rooms include a mini-fridge. (Guests may not use the Inn's fridge.) Some rooms have limited seating options.

The charming Carriage House offers 2 first-floor guest rooms and suites and 2 second-floor guest rooms and suites. Guests must still navigate several steps to reach the Main Inn for breakfast.
The largest accommodation at the Inn — a spacious two-room suite ideal for two couples or a family of up to 4 adults. Main Room: King bed, large wardrobe, armchair, TV with Free Amazon Channels, mini-fridge, direct access to private bathroom (equipped with grab bars). Overlooks the adjacent art gallery parking lot and a nearby restaurant (Barkeaters). Annex Room: King bed, small wardrobe, round table with 4 wooden chairs, 1 additional padded chair.
